The Lumberjack Women's Basketball team drop a Mon-Dak Conference game Sunday afternoon on the road to Lake Region State College by a score of 78-46.
The Jacks and the Royals went back and forth early in the first quarter before LRSC was able to build a 20-15 lead after the first 10 minutes. Lake Region would eventually open the lead up to double figures before the Jacks were able to cut the lead to one at 28-27. The Royals would end the half on a 6-1 run to take a 34-28 lead into the locker room. In the second half the Jacks struggled to get shots to fall scoring just 18 second half points falling to the LRSC by a score of 78-46.
Kiara Comeaux led the Lumberjacks and was the games co-high scorer with 16 points. Amari Butler joined her in double figures with 10 points. Arden Faulkner led Lake Region with 16 points.
With the loss DCB falls to 7-8 overall and 0-2 in the Mon-Dak. Next up for the Lumberjacks they are back on the road to take on the Wildcats of NDSCS. Tipoff is scheduled for 5L30p.m. NDSCS was ranked 24th in the last NJCAA Poll before the holiday break.
