HARCOURT, SEAN WILLIAMS SCORE DOUBLE-DOUBLES AS MIDDLESEX GAINS KEY WIN OVER CC MORRIS

Tristin Harcourt and Anthony Williams each had a double-double and Sean Williams scored a team-high 20 points as Middlesex College Men's Basketball earned a crucial win over County College of Morris.

With the 68-63 victory, the Colts sweep the regular season series from the defending Division II Region 19 champions and gain a crucial tiebreaker advantage over the Titans in the 2025 standings.

Middlesex is now 15-4 on the season with a 5-2 record among Region 19 schools.

The two teams battled in a first half dominated by defense and went to the half tied at 34. Morris had the better of the play in the first ten minutes of the second half, outscoring the Colts 21-12 to build a nine point lead with nine minutes remaining. However, Middlesex finished strong and went on a 22-8 run over the final 8:30 to secure the vital win.

A Sean Williams three-pointer with 4:40 left gave Middlesex their first lead of the second half and the Colts never looked back from there.   

Lorenzo Perez (Sophomore/Perth Amboy, NJ) gave Middlesex 33 solid minutes off the bench. The sophomore guard scored 12 points, hitting 5-6 free throws and 3-5 field goals.

Harcourt paced Middlesex with 15 rebounds while Anthony Williams added 14 rebounds of his own. Both were active on the offense side as well with Williams scoring 12 points and Harcourt adding 11.

Middlesex will be back in action on Thursday when they travel to Camden CC for a 7pm start.
