Lady Tops Fall to Clark State Despite Tyairah Flowers' Strong Performance

Tyairah Flowers continued her stellar play, scoring 18 points, but it wasn't enough as the Lady Tops suffered a 52-48 defeat to the Eagles of Clark State. "The energy was not there," said Head Coach Dion Griffin. "We are not good enough to just show up." The Lady Tops struggled early, managing only 16 points in the first half, including a mere five points in the opening quarter.

The team's shooting woes persisted throughout the game, as they finished with a dismal 22% from the field and just 15% from beyond the arc. To make matters worse, 19 turnovers compounded the Lady Tops' struggles. Coach Griffin emphasized, "We have to show up ready to play every game. This is not our brand of basketball."
