Florida Gateway College made a short trip to Gainesville on Wednesday night as the Timberwolves knocked off Santa Fe 90-70. Florida Gateway jumped out to a 59-35 lead at the half. In the second half the Saints cut the lead to 12 points after trailing by as many as 24 points in the game. Santa Fe outscored Florida Gateway 35-31 in the second half.
Santa Fe was le by Karmello Branch, who put up a season-high 32 points. Connor Morris was the only other Saint in double figures with 10 points.
The Saints are back at home on Friday at 6:00 PM when Pasco-Hernando comes to Gainesville.
