JCC Men Struggle in Second Half; Fall at Lakeland

KIRKLAND, OH - The Jamestown Community College (JCC) men's basketball team dug themselves an early hole too deep to climb out of in their 94-65 loss at Lakeland Community College.

JCC was down double-digits quickly before a timeout by head coach Xavier Churcan settled down the Jayhawks.

Jamestown, led by 14 points from Tamir Barrant and 12 by Federico Foddai, fought back in the final 10 minutes of the first half to draw the score within six at 35-29, but Lakeland proved to be too much in the second half, outscoring JCC by 23 in the 29-point loss.

The defeat drops Jamestown to 0-2 early in the season.

Jamestown looks to rebound over the weekend when they travel to Monroe Community College for a tournament where JCC takes on Sullivan County Community College on Saturday, then Cecil College on Sunday.
