The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners finished their regular-season schedule with a 1-1 draw against Drury University in Springfield on Monday night, October 21.
 
The defenses for both teams controlled the game early in the contest. The match was scoreless at halftime. SFCC scored the first goal of the match in the second half from freshman Ethan Taylor. Drury tied the game, but neither team would score again.
 
Freshman Michele Tafani got the start in goal for SFCC.
 
October 26 Metropolitan Community College at Sedalia
 
SFCC secured the first postseason home victory since the resumption of the program with a 3-0 Region 16 Quarterfinal victory over Metropolitan Community College on Saturday, October 26 at the Fred E. Davis Sports Complex in Sedalia.
 
Taylor started his big day with a goal with about 23 minutes remaining in the opening half to get SFCC on scoreboard. The Roadrunners took the 1-0 advantage into halftime.
 
Taylor scored off a corner kick with about 36 minutes remaining in the contest with an assist from freshman Mohanned Naini. Taylor finished his hat trick with a goal with 12 minutes remaining in the contest.
 
The SFCC defense played well the entire contest and secured the historic shutout. Tafani went the distance in goal for SFCC to help secure the win.
 
"Every win is nice, but when you're in the postseason they mean a little bit more," said Roadrunners Head Coach Michael Poropat. "We very much look forward to our match on Tuesday. I thought our defense was good. Our defense is young. We only have four starters who are sophomores. I'm very happy for our team, especially the guys who were here last year when we were building something new. I'm excited for the opportunity on Tuesday."
 
October 29 Mineral Area College at Park Hills
 
SFCC (5-10-3) saw its season end with a tough 2-1 loss to Mineral Area College in a Region 16 Semifinal match on Tuesday, October 29 in Park Hills.
 
Mineral Area took a 1-0 lead with a goal in the 26th minute. The Cardinals took the 1-0 lead into halftime. Mineral Area added another goal in the 51st minute.
 
SFCC got on the board in the second half with a goal from freshman Nathan McCollin with an assist from Taylor in the 60th minute.
 
 SFCC pushed hard to tie the contest throughout the remainder of the match but could not find the equalizer.
 
Tafani got the start in goal for SFCC.
