
WESSON, Miss. – The Lady Indians set the tone early and never looked back, securing a 66-51 victory over Copiah-Lincoln Community College.
The Lady Indians (20-5, 10-2 MACCC) jumped out to a 20-8 lead in the first quarter and maintained control throughout, shooting 56.6% from the field. Tootie Lockett led the charge with 20 points on 10-of-12 shooting, while Jestiny Dixon added 16 points, including two three-pointers.
The Lady Indians racked up 19 assists, with Lockett contributing eight. Defensively, the Indians forced 18 turnovers and held the Lady Wolves to just 41.7% shooting. They also controlled the glass, outrebounding Co-Lin 31-22.
