WEST WINDSOR - Cecil College dropped both ends of a doubleheader to Mercer County on Saturday afternoon.
Game 1 - Mercer County 8, Cecil 0
Sloane Tanner recorded two hits, but Cecil fell short in its opening contest of 2025. Amaia Smith (0-1) took the loss from the circle. Smith and Madison Nolan recorded Cecil's two other hits for the game.
Game 2 - Cecil 7, Mercer County 5 (Cecil would later forfeit this contest due to playing an ineligible player)
Briana Rebman and Kylee Straining led the Seahawks with two hits each. Sloane Tanner and Tristian Canavan recorded one double apiece. Gianna Dougherty (1-0) shined on the mound, striking out eight Vikings over seven innings. The freshman allowed just one earned run.
