Men’s Basketball Make It Five Straight

The Kansas City Kansas Community College men's basketball team took down the Allen Community College Red Devils, 76-63 Jan. 29 at Mid-America Nazarene University in Olathe, Kan. The Blue Devils are now 5-1 in conference play and are in second place in the KJCCC, just behind No.10 Johnson County.

BJ Stewart had a team-high 21 points and shot 9-16 from the field. Stewart currently leads the KJCCC in points per game with 16.9 and is in third place in 3PT% at 38.5%. Camron Williford was close to completing a triple double as he finished with 14 points, nine assists and seven rebounds. Israel Randle came off the bench and boosted the team with 12 points, four rebounds and three assists. He also shot 4-6 from the field. Jeremiah Lewis also came off the bench and shot 3-6 from behind the arc and finished with 11 points. Ta'Veaion Washington, O'shawn Jones-Winslow and Stewart all helped out on the defensive end by tallying two steals each.

For the game, the Blue Devils shot 27-64 from the field (42.2%), 5-23 from three-point range (21.7%) and 17-25 from the free-throw line (68%). The Red Devils shot 22-52 from the field (42.3%), 7-17 from three-point range (41.2%) and 12-17 from the free-throw line (70.6%).

The next game for the Blue Devils is against the Neosho County Community College Panthers at 4 p.m. Feb.1 at Neosho County Community College in Chanute, Kan.
