Men's basketball wins third game in a row, 90-74 over Emmanuel University JV

Oxford, Ga. - The Emory Oxford men's basketball team won their third game in a row 90-74 over visiting Emmanuel University JV. 

The Eagles had control for most of the game, only being down by a few points in different sections of the first half. Emory Oxford led 49-47 at the half.

Emory Oxford led the entire second half and was able to pull away at the end, leading by 20 points with less than two minutes left. The team played solid defense, allowing Emmanuel to score 27 points in the second. 

First-year Adeniyi Ogunlana had a big game for the Eagles with only one assist off from having a triple-double. Ogunlana led the team with 16 points and had 13 rebounds and nine assists. He was also a perfect six for six from the free throw line.

Emory Oxford also had three other first-year players in double digit points. Ved Desai scored 14 points, Leo Etah had 13 with seven rebounds, and Nicholas Yatros had 12 points.

The Eagles are now 4-1 this season. Emory Oxford plays New Rock Prep Red next at home on Saturday, Nov. 16. Game time is 1 p.m.
