Men's Basketball Splits Home Series

The Anoka-Ramsey Men's Basketball team picked up a 69-59 win over Bismarck St on Friday night before falling 75-63 to Joliet on Saturday.

The Golden Rams built a 44-27 halftime lead on the Mystics before Bismarck St rallied in the second half cutting the deficit to four with just under four minutes left as Anoka-Ramsey held on for the win.

Anoka-Ramsey shot 45.1 percent and held Bismarck to just 3 of 20 from the three-point line.

Jamal Woods scored 21 points on 7 of 14 from the field.

Albert Tinnel IV scored 13 points on 5 of 10 to go with six rebounds.

J'son Saeed'El and Stewart Jones each chipped in ten points.

Caleb Ludwig dished out eight assists.

On Saturday, Anoka-Ramsey fell behind 42-23 at halftime, and pulled within seven with eight minutes left.  But a 6-0 Joliet run put the Wolves back in control for the rest of the game.

The Golden Rams shot just 40 percent overall and had 20 turnovers, 14 in the first half.

Woods tallied 17 points, Tinnel IV had 15 points and 13 rebounds.  Saeed'El scored ten.

Anoka-Ramsey is 7-6 overall.
