FORT MYERS, Fla.- Coming off of back to back walk off wins over the weekend, the #4 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers made sure there would be no drama needed on Tuesday as they shattered program records for hits, runs, and home runs in a game in a 31-4 blowout of the Inspiration Academy Lions at Buccaneers Park in Fort Myers.  Two different players hit for the cycle for FSW as Michael McAloose and Devin Parks combined to go a perfect 10 for 10 with 13 RBIs in the victory.

Knowing the final score of the game, it may surprise some to know that FSW actually trailed at two different points in time in the game as Inspiration Academy came out and got a run in the top half of the 1st to take a 1-0 lead and after the Bucs answered in the bottom half, the Lions scored three more in the top of the 2nd to go back in front 4-1 on the 4th ranked Bucs.

That all changed in the 3rd as Jonah St. Antoine ripped an RBI single up the middle and later scored on a wild pitch to make it a 4-3 game. Later in the inning Devin Parks drilled a double off the left field wall to bring home a pair and give FSW their first lead of the game before Michael McAloose singled through the left side to make it a 6-4 game in favor of the Bucs. With a runner on later in the inning Anthony Ruocco stroked a two run home run out to right center to double the lead to 8-4 and just two pitches later St. Antoine made it back to back with a solo shot to the same part of the park to turn it into a 9-4 game in favor of the Bucs.

Beau Brailey worked a quick 1-2-3 top of the 4th for the Bucs and got FSW right back at the plate where they continued their offensive exhibition against the Lions.

Nathan Fink crushed a 2-2 pitch deep and out to left to lead off the FSW 4th and two batters later Parks and McAloose ripped back to back RBI triples to pad the lead to 12-4. They weren't done yet at St. Antoine hit his second home run in as many innings, a three run shot to make it 17-4 and Jake Mueller greeted the Inspiration bullpen with a moonshot of his own to blow it open to a 18-4 contest.  A double from Fink and a walk put two more on for Parks who completed the cycle in order with a three run bomb to the backside to make it 21-4 FSW.

The Bucs continue to pour it on in the 5th as Loic Guillimette drove home two with a single to right and McAloose drove home another run with a sacrifice fly to center to make it 24-4 Bucs at the end of five.

The Bucs drew three straight walks to begin the bottom of the 6th and a sac fly from Mueller and a two run double from Guillimette padded the lead to 27-4. They reloaded the bases on a walk to Parks and with the sacks packed McAloose let loose on a 1-0 pitch and sent it flying over the left field wall for not only a grand slam, but to complete a cycle of his own in the 6th inning. After the dust settled, it was all FSW, leading it 31-4.

That's the way it would finish as Judd Hildreth finished off the Lions in the 7th and before Take Me Out To The Ballgame could play, the game was over as FSW closed out Inspiration 31-4 in a run rule.

The Bucs finished with a program record 24 hits and seven home runs while scoring seven more runs than they had in any other game in program history.

A handful of Bucs had career days as McAloose finished 5-5 and hit for the cycle with seven RBIs while Parks was also 5-5 and hit for the cycle while driving in six. St. Antoine's monster game was overshadowed as he finished 4-5 with a pair of doubles and accounted for 10 runs with five scored and five driven in.  Guillimette was 3-5 with four RBIs and three runs scored and also threw two scoreless innings on the mound for FSW. Ruocco and Fink combined to go 5-6 with a pair of homers and six runs scored as well for the Bucs.

Brailey earned his first career win on the mound, going two scoreless frames, striking out three.

The Bucs win their sixth straight to improve to 6-1 on the year while Inspiration Academy drops their first game of the year against an NJCAA opponent.

FSW has their final tuneups before Citrus Conference play begins next weekend  on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in Palatka when they take part in the Capital Bank Classic. Friday FSW takes on East Georgia before matching up with DII #3 St. Johns River and #8 Florence-Darlington Saturday and squaring off again with the 8th ranked Stingers Sunday before heading back South.
