#2 Eagles Take Down Trojans
Mason City, IA- #2 Eagles cruise through Mason City and beat the Trojans on the road.
With multiple contributions in the scoring column, the Eagles had five guys who posted double figures in points. Traijan Sain and Lucas Lueth led the way with 14 points each. In his first career start, freshman Keauntrey Barnes, had a career-high with 12 points. Also in the double-digits points category were Richard Lindsey Jr. and Colby Dolphin, each finishing with 10 points.
Kirkwood won the rebound battle 50-32 for the game, 19 of those were offensive rebounds. James Spencer and Traijan Sain both had eight rebounds. Richard Lindsey Jr. finished with seven on the night.
With five guys in double figures the Eagles shared the ball well with 21 assists on 58 shot attempts. Tate Petersen had a career-high in assists with seven in the game.
The Eagles finished the first half of the 2024-25 season overall (13-1), (4-1) in ICCAC play, and ranked #2 nationally.
The Eagles will open the 2025 with an ICCAC match up facing the Western Iowa Tech Comets on January 4th in Johnson Hall at 3:00pm.
