The Marshalltown Community College men's basketball team improved to 4-1 with a 82-57 victory over St. John's Academy-DME on Friday night in the Emerson Classic.
The Tigers shot 44.4 percent from the floor (32-for-72) and forced the visitors into 19 turnovers in the wire-to-wire win.
Richard Udoagwa shot 11-for-12 from the field to score a game-high 24 points in leading MCC to the win. Ahmed Ibrahim added a double-double of 14 points and 14 rebounds off the bench, and Justice Small scored 11 points. Antwan Bridgett tallied six points, seven assists and five steals as well for the Tigers, who face John Wood CC on Saturday night at 7 p.m. in the final game of the two-day Emerson Classic.
Doous Alemdar and Obrad Kuzmanovic scored 10 points apiece to lead St. John's Academy.
