Head Coach Chris on the loss, "We've got to hit balls off pitcher who can locate more than one pitch and that's what we struggled with today," Cook said. "On the mound we let two guys two the damage and overall we didn't do well enough in the moments to give us a shot to win the game … too many two-strike pitches that missed." The Broncos attempted to comeback but fell just short, "We had a few chances late but at the end of the day we didn't score eight runs – which is usually a winning number for us," Cook said.
The Broncos return to action on Saturday, March 1 as they host Lamar for a doubleheader with first pitch scheduled for noon. The series concludes on Sunday as the Broncos host the Runnin' Lopes at noon.
