In a rematch from their first game of the season, the Lady Greyhounds hosted Itawamba on Thursday night. The rematch saw a lot of similarities as the first game as the Lady Indians came and left with a win.
Itawamba would only hold a slim 4 point lead after the first 10 minutes leading ASU Mid-South 18-14. Unfortunately for the Lady Greyhounds, their offense would really start to slow down for the remainder of the game as they would only score 13 points in the final 30 minutes of gameplay. Although their offense started to slow down, the defense of the Lady Greyhounds really helped keep the game close throughout the first half. Once halftime ended, Itawamba really put their foot at the gas as they would outscore ASU Mid-South 21-2 in the third quarter. The 4th quarter was much like the 3rd quarter as the Lady Indians just kept going and their was nothing the Lady Greyhounds could do.
Itawamba was led by I'xana Winters who scored 14 points, as well as Briyana Turner's 12 points.
London Robinson led the Lady Greyhounds with 9 points.
ASU Mid-South is back at home December 2nd, as they host Coahoma CC. Tip-off is set for 5:30.
