The College of Central Florida Patriots (10-1) rallied for four ninth inning runs to beat the Tallahassee State College Eagles (4-8), 12-9 on Tuesday evening in Tallahassee.

Patriots' shortstop, Logan Chapman, hit the first pitch of the ninth inning over the centerfield wall to tie the game at 9-9. It was Chapman's first home run of the season. CF would load the bases with two outs when Marcus Bradshaw connected on his second triple of the game to clear the bases and give the Pats a 12-9 lead.

Miles Curley closed the door on the Eagles in the bottom half of the ninth inning to earn his second save.

In total, the Patriots had 16 hits on the day including Dawson Harman's 6th home run of the year. Gio Mendoza added two hits with a double and two RBI. Cooper Jones and Curley each had two hits and an RBI.

The Pats were a little shaky on the mound, but two relief pitchers did step up when needed. Jay Jung and Jose Paniagua combined for 4.2 innings giving up only three hits, zero runs, zero walks, and seven strikeouts. Assistant Coach JC Sanner when asked about the game: "We needed a game like this where we had to fight back to get the win on the road. The hitters definitely picked up the pitchers tonight."

The Patriots will open Citrus Conference play this Thursday when perennial powerhouse Miami-Dade College comes to Goodlett Field for a 2 PM game. Admission is free.
