Men's basketball topples Titans

The Lakeland men's basketball team traveled to Terra State today to face the Titans in OCCAC action. The game had an early start time due to the impending weather forecast. The Lakers took control of the game early and then coasted to a 98-70 victory. With the win, the Lakers improve to 9-3 in conference play (15-7 overall). Lakeland kept its playoff push going with an important game coming up this weekend. The Lakers used a balanced scoring attack as 4 players finished with double digits. Devin Belle led the Lakers with 31 points while Brandon Moore finished his afternoon with 20 points. Aaron Ward recorded 16 points and Kaleb Wanamaker recorded 14 points for the Lakers. Adam Williams added 7 points while Raphael Sylver chipped in 5 points in the win.

Coach T's Talk: "The practice we had yesterday carried over into the game. We had a very physical detailed practice and they executed the game plan perfectly - and our defense led to us almost scoring 100 points again." 

Next Up: The Lakers will play host to the Clark State Eagles on Saturday in Laker Gym. Tipoff is scheduled for 11:00 am.
