The Daytona State College men's basketball team, ranked #3 in the NJCAA, defeated Miami Dade College 74-55 to win their 21st consecutive game. Daytona improves to 23-2 on the year and 11-0 in Citrus Conference play.
Daytona's defense held Miami Dade to just 25% shooting from the field (17-68 FGM) and forced 15 Miami Dade turnovers.
Dylan Diaz and Huascar Cuevas led the scoring with 16 points each. They combined for 8 of the team's 10 made three pointers and finished a combined 11-21 from the field. Ryan Bewley finished with 10 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks. Isaiah Dorceus had 15 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. Tyrese Lacey had 4 points and 10 assists.
