JAMESTOWN, NY - Jamestown Community College (JCC) dropped another hard-fought battle, 87-77, this one to Westchester Community College.

The Vikings took an early lead, scoring the first seven points of the game.

JCC clawed right back, putting up eight in a row to take an 8-7 lead. Tamir Barrant doing most of the damage on his way to a team-high 25 points.

The game would be a closely contested affair throughout the 40 minutes.

Westchester built another small lead midway through the half, going up 21-14 before a Marcus Wynter jumper brought it back to five. The freshman finished the day with 17.

That bucket was followed up by another Barrant field goal, and JCC was once again within three.

The Vikings would close the half strong, building a 16-point edge before JCC ultimately trailed by 12 at the break.

Jamestown chipped away to start the second stanza.

Dwayne Motley earned three the hard way with the and-one play to bring JCC back down by single-digits, but the Jayhawks couldn't chip any closer.

JCC now hits their holiday break with no games until Wednesday, January 8th, when they play host to Cuyahoga Community College at 7:00 PM.
