MCC Falls Short Versus Jackson
First half struggles cost MCC against Jackson
The MCC women's basketball team traveled to Jackson College Tuesday for their seventh game of the season versus the Jackson College Jets.
MCC struggled in the first half of the game to maintain a strong defense and get back down the court. During the second half, they came out stronger, outscoring the Jets 24-20 in the third quarter. The Jayhawks fought until the very end of the fourth quarter, ultimately falling to the Jets 75-89.
No stats were taken at the game, but top contributors of the game were Anna Lundquist (#30) with 23 points, Tyvi Davis (#23) with 22 points, Jayna Edmonson (#2) with 9 points, and Molli Schultz (#10) with 7 points.
Wednesday morning, Head coach Jason Cooper reflected upon the loss,
" It was a tough game on the road. You have to play all four quarters to have a chance to beat a very good team like Jackson. We are still learning as a team and will keep making improvements the rest of our season."
