Decisive Win For Men's Basketball
November 24
Queensbury, NY
Corning Community College took the court to take on SUNY Adirondack Men's Basketball in a Sunday afternoon match-up. Within the first few minutes of the game, the Timberwolves were trying to find their groove. Down a few points, it took a few personnel changes but the team was back on track. They tied the game early, took the lead, and never looked back. They have a comfortable 10-point lead at the half but knew they couldn't coast. They started the second half with good intensity and controlled the rest of the game. The Red Barons did everything they could have in the last minutes of the game to slowdown the clock and earn points. In the end, it wouldn't be enough.
Sophomore, Tyre Williams put up 25 points, 3 assists, earned a steal and 2 rebounds. First-Year player, Jaylan Sammy had 16 points, 1 assist, 6 rebounds and 2 blocks in the game. Freshman Messiah McLaurin played big pulling down 9 rebounds, stealing 2 balls and earning 5 assists and 15 points.
Final score: 89-83 Adirondack
The Timberwolves are back on the court Tuesday for a conference match-up against Columbia-Greene before their Thanksgiving break.
