Women's Basketball Edges Denmark Technical in 2-Point Thriller on Sophomore Night
The Lady Yetis pulled off a nail-biting 75–73 victory over Denmark Technical College. The contest was a tale of two halves, with Denmark Technical College starting strong in the first quarter, outscoring Cleveland 27-14. However, Cleveland mounted a significant comeback in the second quarter, scoring 24 points to Denmark's 10, leading to a halftime score of 37-37.
The third quarter saw Cleveland continue their momentum, adding another 24 points while Denmark managed 14. Entering the final quarter, Cleveland held a 61-51 lead. Denmark fought back fiercely in the fourth quarter, scoring 22 points, but ultimately fell short by just two points as Cleveland held on for the victory.
Cleveland's performance was highlighted by Kari Lee, who scored 16 points, grabbed 8 rebounds, and dished out 6 assists. Grace East contributed 17 points, including four three-pointers, while Sydnie Enste and Jasmine Twitty each added 13 points. Twitty was also a force on the boards, securing 19 rebounds.
