FSCJ Manta Rays took Friday's game in dramatic fashion, with a 4-2 walk-off victory over TSC at FSCJ's home field. The game was tied at two in the bottom of the eighth when Takeirra Bakken homered to center field, scoring two runs.
Alexis Laura led things off in the circle for FSCJ Manta Rays. The starter gave up five hits and one run over eight innings, striking out seven and walking one. L Prescott began the game for TSC. The pitcher surrendered 12 hits and three runs over seven and one-third innings, striking out four and walking three.
FSCJ Manta Rays piled up 13 hits in the game. Masey Padgett, Bakken, Hannah Steedley, and Haley Ross each collected two hits for the FSCJ Manta Rays. FSCJ sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Padgett made the most plays with nine.
In Game 2, the Manta Rays scored eight runs in the fourth inning, which helped them defeat TSC 12-0 on Friday at FSCJ's home field.
FSCJ collected 12 hits in the game. Davis led FSCJ with three hits in three at bats. Randall and Haley Ross each collected multiple hits for FSCJ Manta Rays. Carly Johnson and Ross each stole multiple bases for the FSCJ Manta Rays. FSCJ stole seven bases in the game.
