Dolphins Men's Basketball Win Region 10-D1/Atlantic District Tournament and Punch Ticket to National Tournament

On Saturday afternoon the Brunswick Community College Men's Basketball team matched up with rival Cape Fear Community College in Hickory, NC in the Championship game of the Region 10-D1 / Atlantic District Tournament. The Dolphins defeated the Sea Devils 102-86. In a back and forth first half fill with a lot of emotion the game was tied at the half at 39. However in the second half the number one seeded Dolphins used a strong defensive effort to fuel their offense to score 63 points to determine the final score. The leading scorers for the Dolphins were Tyrone Barbee and Armani Henderson with 22 points, followed by Cam Oates with 18, Landon King with 17, and Derrick Green with 13. The Dolphins await for their next opponent as the NJCAA selection show will be held on Sunday.
