The Trojans came in as the #13 seed and upset the #4th ranked Buccaneers with set scores of 25-20, 25-16, and 25-20. Colby advances to the quarterfinals and will take on #5 Northweastern Junior College at 7 PM CT on Thursday, November 21st.
Colby dominated the game with a solid offensive performance, recording 46 kills compared to Blinn's 27 kills. The hitting percentage for Colby was .239, while Blinn's hitting percentage was .176.
Key players for Colby included Celia Mbaya, Viola Giangreco, and Karlota Kattai, who contributed significantly to the team's success. Mbaya led the team with 13 kills, while Giangreco and Kattai added 9 and 11, respectively.

The Trojans will take on the Plainswomen at 7 pm CT at the Dunn Center on the campus of Austin Peay University. Colby and Northeastern faced off earlier this season on August 30th in Laramie, Wyoming, with the Trojans falling 3-2. The rematch will now be for a spot in the NJCAA National Championship Semifinals.
