CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The 2024 season came to a close for the Mott Community College volleyball team on day two of the NJCAA DII National Tournament on Thursday in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
The Bears stayed alive in the tournament with a win in a five-set battle (23-25, 25-19. 25-8, 26-28, 15-13) with Harford Community College. Mott advanced to take on Pensacola State College, where the Bears fell in four sets (25-20, 22-25, 25-12, 29-27).
Mott finished the season with a record of 28-8 overall. The season included a 19-match win streak, an MCCAA Eastern Conference Championship (with a perfect conference record of 12-0), and Great Lakes District Title.
Highlights vs. HCC:

Chloe Vanwinkle had a team-high 28 kills and 21 digs, adding three service aces.

Ruby Earl recorded 16 kills, while Montgomery Rotter had 13 kills, 17 digs, and seven service aces.

Princess Savage finished with six kills and three block assists.

Skylar Cramer recorded 59 assists and 13 digs.

Vanwinkle led the Bears again in kills and digs, with 17 and 21, respectively.

Rotter had 12 kills and 12 digs.

Cramer finished with 39 assists and seven digs.

Brooklynn Wilcox added a team-high four service aces.
