HEAR FROM THE HAWKS COACH:
Head Men's Basketball Coach Josh Clark on how the night played out:
"Collin Nick played really well tonight," Clark said. "Collin shot the ball well. He is coming into his own as our utility guy. He is shooting well. As a team, there were times where we played really tough defense. We played five guys out there who were on the same page. We had two runs where we cut it to five, but we just couldn't get over the hump. This was a good team, and I thought we matched up well with this team. We didn't help ourselves at times. We never gave up. I'm proud of the guys. They work hard in practice and they listen. They do what is expected."
Clark on what he wants to see Saturday on the road against Kirkwood:
"Have some effort and have some heart," Clark said. "Come together as a team. People are celebrating each other. That's what I want. Guys are still fighting for each other. Kirkwood is a tough place to play and they play hard. We have to match that intensity."
UP NEXT:
The Hawks will take on No. 2 Kirkwood Community College at 3 p.m. Saturday in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
