
Cleveland State Loses Lead Against the Panthers
Cleveland State lost by a basket for the second consecutive game. The Cougars (4-11, 2-7) controlled the game until halfway through the third quarter when Pellissippi State (8-8, 4-4) put together a comeback.

It was 30-22 at halftime, and 40-29 with 2:52 left in the third quarter before the Panthers started their 22-9 run to steal a game on the Cougars court 51-49.
The Cougars last game was also decided by two points at Roane State.
Pellissippi forced turnovers during their comeback, finishing with 12 steals while the Cougars ended with 18 turnovers compared to the Panthers 10.
Mar'Nazha Houston finished with a double-double scoring 12 points and grabbing 20 rebounds. Dejanae Dennis-Cassanova also scored in double figures with 11 points.
Maria Braga led the way for Pellissippi scoring a team high 12 points. She was one of three Panthers players to score in double figures.
The Cougars return to the court Friday hoping to snap their three-game skid when they travel to Johnson University. The two met back on November 2 at the Pellissippi State Tip-Off tournament with Cleveland State losing that game 57-51. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
