Game One: BSC 10 - MCC 5
The first game of the day saw an explosive offensive performance from the Bobcats. BSC's offense was a mix of aggressive base running, timely hitting, and some powerful contributions. Darius Ensley continued his strong start to the season, hitting his second home run of the year, a two-run blast that helped fuel the Bobcats' offensive surge.
Freshman catcher Niko Reach played a key role as well, driving in 2 RBI on the day. But it wasn't just the newcomers—sophomores Brody Puchmajer and Kalayo Shaw were instrumental in the win. Puchmajer went 2-for-3 with a double, a stolen base, and 3 RBI, while Shaw was also 2-for-3 with a triple and 2 stolen bases. Sophomore Jack Amis set the tone early for the Bobcats, going 2-for-3 with 2 runs scored and 1 RBI. His strong leadership at the top of the lineup was key in getting the offense rolling. Freshman third baseman Hudson Gerken had a stellar day at the plate, going 3-for-4 with 3 runs scored and 2 RBI. Gerken's ability to consistently reach base and drive in runs was a major factor in the Bobcats' offensive explosion.
Brody Puchmajer, who had a strong performance in Game One, kept his hot streak going, finishing Game Two 2-for-2 with 3 RBI and 2 runs scored. Puchmajer's continued success throughout the day underscored his importance to the team's offensive depth.
On the mound, Jude Balser earned his first college win with a dominant performance, throwing a complete 5-inning game. Balser allowed only 3 hits, gave up zero earned runs, and struck out 7 batters in the process. His performance helped the Bobcats cruise to an easy victory.
