GAME ONE: HVCC 10 - JEFFERSON 2
The Vikings opened the scoring in the first after Samantha Graham grounded out, scoring one run. Reegan Mullen hit a solo home run to left field in the top of the second for the Vikings.
The Vikings took the lead, 6-2, in the top of the fifth thanks to singles by Angelise Montanez, Izabelle Ratcliffe, and Graham. Moira Collins earned the win for the Vikings. The hurler gave up nine hits and two runs over six innings, striking out nine and walking one.
The Vikings piled up 11 hits in the game. Kayden Craft, Montanez, and Ratcliffe each collected two hits for the Vikings. Ratcliffe went 2-for-4 at the plate and led the team with five runs batted in. The Vikings were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Graham made the most plays with nine.
GAME TWO: HVCC 9 - JEFFERSON 1
The Vikings got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Maeve Brannigan singled down the left field line, and Grace Harris hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run. A single by Samantha Graham extended the Vikings lead to 3-0 in the bottom of the second inning.
Reegan Mullen earned the win for the Vikings. The starting pitcher surrendered four hits and one run over five innings, striking out three and walking two.
The Vikings collected 15 hits in the game. Harris, Brannigan, Angelise Montanez, Izabelle Ratcliffe, Graham, Mullen, and Lily Brennan each collected two hits for the Vikings. Harris, Ratcliffe, and Graham each drove in two runs for the Vikings. The Vikings turned one double play in the game.
