
Enterprise, AL-The East Central Community College (ECCC) Lady Warriors secured a decisive 64-55 victory over Enterprise State Community College on the road in Enterprise, Alabama, on Tuesday night, November 5, 2024. The win was fueled by a dominant fourth quarter and standout performances from key players, including Kelviana Parhm and Ranyha Pruitt.
The Lady Warriors began the game with a narrow 14-13 lead after the first quarter. By halftime, the teams were locked in a tight contest, with Enterprise State edging ahead 31-29. ECCC continued to trail after three quarters, 48-45, but the Lady Warriors turned up the intensity in the fourth quarter, outscoring Enterprise State 19-7 to seal the win.
Kelviana Parhm led the charge for ECCC, finishing with a team-high 17 points on 7-of-15 shooting, including 2-of-5 from beyond the arc. Parhm also contributed four rebounds, four steals, and two assists, showcasing her all-around game. Ranyha Pruitt significantly boosted off the bench, scoring 12 points on 3-of-8 shooting and a perfect 6-of-6 from the free-throw line.
Other notable contributors included Erica Lyons, who tallied seven points, three rebounds, and four assists, and Ruby Brannon, who also added seven points and grabbed four rebounds. Mikayla Holifield anchored the defense with a game-high seven rebounds.
The Lady Warriors shot 39.7% from the field and connected on 25.0% of their three-point attempts. While their free-throw shooting was a challenge at 51.7%, their dominance on the boards, with 35 total rebounds compared to Enterprise State's 30, proved critical in the outcome.
Enterprise State's Kyndra Anthony led all scorers with 21 points, including three three-pointers, while Trinity Lewis added 11 points and eight rebounds. Despite their efforts, the Lady Bulldogs couldn't match ECCC's fourth-quarter surge.
The Lady Warriors will continue their Alabama road trip on Thursday when they travel to Wallace Community College in Selma for a rematch of last week's season opener.
