Pirate's Offense Proved Too Much For Visiting Missouri Valley JV

NCMC men's basketball put on an impressive offensive display, tallying 102 points behind a well-balanced effort from both their starters and bench as the defeated Missouri Valley College JV on Tuesday. The team shot efficiently from the field at 51.4% and connected on 40% of their three-point attempts.  They showed strong perimeter play and interior finishing to improve to a perfect 21-0 for the season.

Leading the way was Jon Carroll, who dominated inside with 21 points on 9-of-14 shooting while also grabbing seven rebounds. His consistent scoring kept NCMC in control throughout the game. Right behind him was Tyler King, who contributed 19 points, knocking down two three-pointers and converting 3-of-4 free throws. His defensive presence also stood out, as he recorded two steals.

Giovanni Mack was a key all-around performer, stuffing the stat sheet with 16 points, six rebounds, and a team-high seven steals. His ability to get to the free-throw line, where he went 6-of-7, proved crucial. Joe Clark provided a steady presence with eight points, four rebounds, and three assists while taking care of the ball with zero turnovers in 25 minutes. Camden Bennett added nine points, including two three-pointers, to round out a strong starting unit.

Off the bench, Garrett Fettinger made the most of his six minutes, pouring in 10 points on 3-of-4 shooting, including two three-pointers. Mikey Thomas contributed seven points and three steals in just 16 minutes, bringing energy on both ends. Deng Gak added eight points and five rebounds, showing his ability to crash the boards and provide additional scoring depth.

The Pirates shared the ball effectively with 18 assists and put forth a solid defensive effort, recording 14 steals to force turnovers. Despite some foul trouble and a few missed opportunities at the free-throw line, North Central's offensive firepower proved too much for Missouri Valley as they cruised to a dominant win.

Next up will be a Sophomore Day tilt with Region 16 foe Metropolitan CC on Saturday.  Tipoff will follow the Lady Pirates matchup against the Wolves.
