
The Kansas City Kansas Community College women's basketball team defeated the Southeast Community College Bobcats, 71-57 Nov. 30 at Southeast Community College in Lincoln, Neb. The Blue Devils started off hot as they scored 45 points in the first half and held the Bobcats to just 30 points.
Bennett Peck was extremely impressive from behind the arc as she drained seven three pointers and finished the game with 23 points. Samaire Slusarek recorded her third double double on the season with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Zoe Clark scored a career-high 14 points and brought down nine rebounds. Emma Berenguer Fernandez finished with an impressive 10 assists and five points. Destiny Ochs came off the bench and provided 12 points along with five rebounds.
For the game, the Lady Blue Devils shot 26-66 from the field (39.4%), 11-33 from three-point range (33.3%) and 8-11 from the free-throw line (72.7%). The Bobcats shot 19-64 from the field (29.7%), 7-34 from three-point range (20.6%) and 12-19 from the free-throw line (53.2%).
The next game for the Lady Blue Devils is against Grand View University JV at 7 p.m. Dec. 3 at Grand View University in Des Moines, Iowa.
