
SENATOBIA, Miss. – The Indians' season came to an end in the semifinal round of the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament on Friday, dropping a 3-1 decision to Jones in four sets (23-25; 25-21; 20-25; 24-26).
The Bobcats took the opening set, 25-23, before ICC answered with a 25-21 win to pull even in the second set. After Jones took the third set, 25-20, the Indians fought hard in the fourth but fell just short, 26-24.
Lexi Pendleton (Germantown, Tenn.) led the Indians on the attack with 23 kills throughout the match while Bree Lyons (Oxford) added 15 to the stat sheet. Presley Jones (Killen, Ala.) recorded a team-high 22 assists followed by Pendleton adding 19, and Kensley Woolbright (New Hope) led with 17 digs.
The Indians finish the 2024 season 19-11 overall and 7-3 in conference play.
