CF Softball Dominates TSC 13-4 and 9-1

The Central Flrorida softball team travelled to Tallahassee to play a double header on Thursday after being off for 11 days. The Pats bats came alive scoring 13 in the first game and 9 in the second.

Game 1: CF 13 - TSC 4

The Pats got off to an early lead, scoring six runs in the 1st of the TSC starter. Amy Crosby had six RBI in the game on three hits. She led off the game with a home run and then later in the inning had two more RBI on a single. Leah Clark also had a multi hit game going two for four with an RBI and run scored. The Pats ended up with 13 hits and 3 home runs, one each by Crosby, Hayley Turner and Sarah Stewart

Morgyn Stevens earned the win for the Patriots. She gave up just three hits and one run over three innings. She walked two and struck out one. Hailey Pyle finished the game throwing 2 innings and allowed three runs on five hits.

 

Game 2: CF 9 - TSC 1

The Patriots hit the repeat button in game two scoring six runs again in the top of the first. Leah Clark singled in the first run and later scored on a sca fly. Madison VanAllen added to the lead with a three-run bomb to center. Bailey Holmes collected two hits in the game and scored a run. Caitlin Blankenship went a perfect three for three with a double, RBI and a run scored.

VanAllen also started in the circle and gave the Pats a solid five innings of work. She allowed just two hits and one run while striking out four Eagles batters. 

The Central FLorida Patriots softball team will next play on Friday in Panama City Beach in the Panama City Beach JUCO Softball Showdown. They open up with Snead State at 10 AM CST and then Wallace State Hanceville at 3 PM CST.
