
The Patriots used six pitchers to secure their 6-3 win over Lake Sumter State College on Tuesday afternoon in Ocala. Kohl Kilcrease started and went four innings allowing four hits, two runs, with three strikeouts. Kilcreases' four innings were the most of any pitcher in the game. Colston Altman (1-0) returned from a prolonged injury to throw an inning, giving up only one hit and no runs to earn the win. Miles Curley (1.0 IP, 2H, R, K), Karson Lindsay (0.2 IP, 0H, 0R, 3 BB), Cooper Ryan (1.1 IP, 0H, 0R, K) and Jay Jung (1.0 IP, 0H, 0R, 2K, Save) finished out the game for the Pats.
The Central Florida offense was led by Marcus Bradshaw who went 2 for 3 with a bases loaded double that scored three runs. Victor Martinez added three hits including a double and Bruno Schafer had an RBI single. The win improves CF to 23-7 and drops Lake Sumter to 18-13.
The Patriots open up a 3-game Citrus Conference series versus arch rival Santa Fe College at home on Thursday, 3:00 PM. The series will conclude on Saturday in Gainesville at Santa Fe College with a doubleheader. First game will begin at Noon.
