Blue Devil Softball Receives Third Sweep of the Season 
 

The Kansas City Kansas Community College softball team got swept by the Iowa Central Community College Tritons with scores of 7-1 and 7-2. The KCKCC softball team has now gotten swept by McCook (DI), North Iowa Area and Iowa Central. 

In the first game,Sidney Sullivan secured two of the four Blue Devil hits and was the only person to score. Kloey Dawes had the only RBI as Sullivan had a triple in the sixth inning. Kaitlyn Cowan and Cassidy Reno were responsible for the two other hits as they both went 1-3 at the plate.   

Alyssa Droge recorded the loss as she allowed five runs from the eight Triton hits. She struck out six batters and walked none in her 6.1 innings. Bailey Carder came in and allowed two runs from two hits in her .2 innings of work. 

In game two, the Blue Devils were able to get nine hits while converting just two runs. Kylie Vandervoort and Cowan had two hits each and Vandervoort finished with one RBI, a walk and a double.  

Hanna Acree threw for the first 3.1 innings allowing four runs, three earned, six hits and two walks. She struck out three of the 20 batters she faced. Droge came in and finished the final 3.2 innings while letting in three runs, two earned and six hits. She had one walk and struck out two batters.
