FULTON, Miss. – Despite Bree Lyons (Oxford) and McLaine Dorr (Gluckstadt) each having 12-kill performances, it still wasn't enough for the Indians as they fell to Pearl River, 3-1, in four sets (18-25; 20-25; 25-20; 23-25).
After the Wildcats took the first two sets, ICC answered by winning the third, 25-20, but dropped the fourth in a closely-fought effort.
Lyons and Dorr's 24 combined kills contributed to the team's total of 44 throughout the match with Lexi Pendleton (Germantown, Tenn.) adding 11 and Michael Ann East (Oxford), five. On the serve, Presley Jones (Killen, Ala.) and Pendleton each had 19 assists. Kensley Woolbright (New Hope) led the Indians with 23 digs while Pendleton added 18.
Next up, the Indians will close out the regular season on Tuesday, Oct. 23 when they host Bevill State at 5:30 p.m.
