Colts vs Skylanders of Sussex County

In this game the SUNY Orange Colts went up against the tenacious Skylanders of Sussex County. To start things off the Skylanders were able to jump out to an early lead but was not enough as the Colts were able to fight back and earning their first lead of the game after back to back Adriana Vazquez baskets making the score 7-5 pushing their lead to four the Colts were unable to maintain their lead before the end of the first quarter trailing 10-9. For the next ten minutes the Skylanders managed to keep their lead after outscoring the Colts 19-10 in the second quarter, as they would go into the second half with a 29-19 lead.
In the second half of regulation the SUNY Orange Colts showed huge signs of life cutting their lead to just one point after So. Captain Victoria Harrison drained the long two pointer. Shortly after, Fr. Guard Rayanna Quintanna gave the Colts the lead after a heads up steal on the defensive end leading to a fast break layup on the other end of the court to give the Colts the 34-33 lead after outscoring the Skylanders 15-4. At the end of the third quarter the Colts found themselves trailing by just one point with a 37-38 score.
For the last ten minutes of regulation the SUNY Orange Colts were outscored 19-9 giving them their 16th loss on the year losing 57-46 to the Skylanders.
The Colts will look on to their next game as they celebrate the Sophomores on the SUNY Orange Women's Basketball team for their Sophomore day against Conference opponent the Generals of Sullivan County Community College on February 4th at 5:00 PM.

Fr. Guard #35 Adriana Vazquez led the way for the Colts, scoring 19 points and came down with a season high 13 rebounds. Earning her first double-double of the season. Vazquez finished the game with one assist, two steals and three blocks to add to her night.
So. Guard #23 Victoria Harrison finished as the second highest scorer. Victoria scored eight points, recorded six rebounds, one assist and two steals.
Fr. Forward #10 Olivia Harrison was the third highest scorer on the team and finished second in rebounds. Finishing with six points and nine rebounds, Olivia also came away with two steals of her own.
