After almost a two week lay-off, the Men's Basketball team came out firing on all cylinders against the Onondaga Lazers. The Raiders saw six players score in double-figures and as a team shot an impressive 58% from the field in route to a 111-83 victory.
FM jumped out to a 16-6 lead when Cooper Mason threaded the needle to Matej Gasevic who converted on a three-point play. Cam Flinders had the hot hand off the bench converting on five threes in the first half to give FM the lead, 65-40 at the break.
The Raiders outscored Onondaga in the second half, 46-43 to cruise to victory. Milos Cirovic steered the Raider offense as he tallied a triple-double with 19 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. Cam Flinders finished with 23 points. Mason had 17 points, Johnardo Turner with 14 and Matej Gasevic and Max Pritchett each had 12.
"I'm happy with how we ended the semester. We bounced back after two losses on the road to tough teams that were great learning lessons for our guys. A nice home win to end the semester before break is always nice. We had six guys in double figures and Milos with a triple double which does not happen often and nice to see. 5-2 at the break, same record as last year, we are excited about our potential in the second half of the season," said Gallup.
The Raiders will now enter their mid-semester break. They will be back in action on January 15th when they host SUNY Adirondack at 7pm.
